Q. What are the ingredients of Kahlúa original?
A. Kahlúa original mainly contains Sugar, Cane Spirit, Coffee Extract (Cane Spirit, Sugar, Caramel), and water. If you have any specific allergies please contact us for more details.
Q. Does Kahlúa contain nuts?
A. Kahlúa Ready-to-Drink products contain dairy, soy beans, and tree nuts. This includes Banana Mudslide, Chocolate Latte, Kappuccino, Original Mudslide, and White Russian. While our other Kahlúa products do not contain any nuts, we cannot guarantee that they were not produced in a plant that uses nuts.
Q. Can vegans drink Kahlúa?
A. Kahlua and Kahlua Flavors are suitable for Vegans. However, the Kahlúa Drinks-to-Go (DTGs) and the Kahlúa Ready-to-Drink (RTDs) contain milk proteins. Therefore, they're not okay for vegans but okay for vegetarians.
Q. Is Kahlúa Kosher?
A. Kahlúa is not Kosher certified.
Q. How do I store Kahlúa?
A. Kahlúa is fine to store at room temperature. However many prefer to serve Kahlúa chilled.
Q. What is the shelf life of Kahlúa original?
A. The shelf life of either an unopened or opened bottle of Kahlúa is four years. The shelf life is for best delivery of taste. After exceeding the time the flavor impact will begin to become noticeably less and would not represent normal excellent quality expected.
Q. What is the calorie content of Kahlúa original?
A. 1.5 oz. (44ml) Kahlúa 40 proof contains around 137 calories.
Q. Does Kahlúa contain gluten?
A. The processes of distillation should eliminate cereal proteins from distilled spirits drinks and therefore distilled drinks are generally accepted for a gluten-free diet. Please note however, that we cannot offer specific advice, and recommend that the individual should discuss these matters with their medical or dietetic advisors. However, the Kahlúa Drinks-to-Go (DTGs) and the Kahlúa Ready-to-Drink (RTDs) contain milk proteins.
Q. Do you still offer recipes for cooking?
A. While we do not include food recipes on the new Kahlua.com, many noted chefs and cookbook authors enjoy cooking with Kahlúa and have developed recipes with the brand. We recommend looking for recipes featuring Kahlúa online or at your local bookstore.
